On April 26, 2016 the Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Remarketing department celebrated their 5th annual Charity Sales check presentation at Boys & Girls Club of Carson. TFS, in cooperation with Auction Partners, made a donation in the amount of $50 for each vehicle sold, at auction, from November 9 to December 30, resulting in $490,405 that will be evenly distributed to TFS’ 35 local Club partnerships, in support of the Youth of the Year program, across the country.
HQ ambassadors, Remarketing team members, and local auction partners enjoyed a fun filled afternoon with over 70 Carson Club kids. TFS volunteers organized a special activity where the kids earned play money through their participation in a financial literacy game. Each Club member was then given the opportunity to earn prizes with their play money in a live auction with a professional auctioneer!
But wait, there’s more! To help support critical transportation needs in the Carson community, Mike Groff, President and CEO, gave away a brand new Toyota Sienna. Board President, Lori Henderson and Club CEO, Kim Richards accepted the keys and acknowledged how grateful they were for the partnership. Vice President of Operations at Boys & Girls Club of Carson, Veronica Jimenez, expressed her gratitude for receiving the van, “Thank you so much for all you have done to ensure that we are able to provide a safe and wonderful transportation program to our members.”
