This holiday season the Minneapolis Dealer Sales and Service Office (DSSO) made the holidays just a little bit brighter for homeless youth in the Twin Cities area. They made a donation to YouthLink, a non-profit that strives to reduce homelessness among young adults ages 16-23 by providing housing resources, hot meals, job training, and behavioral health counseling.
One of the organization’s most important times of the year is December. The holiday season is a time when people instinctively want to be around family and friends but this isn’t always possible for the youth being served by this organization. YouthLink is doing its part to make sure that everyone they serve doesn’t feel let down and alone during a transitional time in their lives.
On Wednesday, December 23rd, the Minneapolis DSSO ventured to downtown Minneapolis to help set-up the annual holiday event for YouthLink. TFS team members and YouthLink staff helped to clean, set-up tables and chairs, prep the serving area and decorate. As they worked together to get everything just right, the feeling among the group was one of excitement! Whether it was helping set-up the Kwanzaa corner, making sure each table had a dreidel, putting out desserts, or decorating the Christmas tree, the holiday spirit touched everyone!
