At TFS, community service is part of who we are as a company. It’s through our associates’ efforts to utilize their time and talents that we have given back to local nonprofits with 100,000 hours of service since 2007. If monetized, this would be the equivalent of $2.5 million dollars contributed, but it doesn’t end there.
Hi, I’m Mike Groff, and as President & CEO of Toyota Financial Services, I wanted to take a few moments of your time to talk about giving back to the communities where our associates live, work, and play.
TFS works with many community partners around the country, but by far our biggest partnership is with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. At our national headquarters in Torrance, California, as well as 38 field offices around the country, our associates regularly head out to local Clubs to mentor at-risk youth through the Diplomas to Degrees program that helps high school students prepare for college.
With our focus on youth and education as well as financial literacy, we have contributed $21.3 million to community partners, including $2.4 million in Making Life Easier scholarships to help 543 at-risk youth to date reach their goal of attending college. Also, our associates have earned more than half a million dollars for nonprofits they work with through our Dollars for Doers grant program as well as our Board Leadership grants.
I’m proud to be leading an organization where 97 percent of our associates believe that we are a social responsible company and a quarter of them volunteer on an annual basis.
I invite you to take a look around this website to learn more about our programs, partners, and our associates giving back. Hopefully our work will inspire you to begin “Making Life Easier” for others in your community.
