Mark Simmons, Corporate Manager, Communications, Government Affairs and Community Relations, leads the Communications and Community Relations functions for Toyota Financial Services. Simmons joined Toyota Motor Sales, USA, in 1984, holding a variety of positions in product planning, sales planning, pricing and marketing, including Toyota national advertising strategy and media manager, and Lexus national manager, marketing strategy, where he was responsible for brand and model strategy, leasing/incentive plans, and marketing public relations. He moved to Toyota Financial Services in 2007, holding positions in business planning and communications before his promotion to his current role. Prior to his career with Toyota, Simmons worked as a senior consultant with Accenture (then Andersen Consulting). He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Tufts University in Medford, Mass., and an MBA in finance and marketing from The University of Chicago – Booth School of Business. During his college years, he held summer jobs at General Motors and Chrysler, and has maintained a life-long passion for cars.
