Unicorns, floats, and the Mirai, oh my! There may not have been a yellow brick road, but if you followed the Dallas North Tollway down from our new headquarters to Reverchon Park on September 16, you would have discovered something quite magical.
For Toyota’s third consecutive year sponsoring Dallas Pride, the Mirai was the inspiration for our consumer engagement at the day-long festival. Our hydrogen-fueled vehicle is all about innovation and clean energy. With water vapor as the Mirai’s only emission, and rainbows in the air, it seemed only fitting that a unicorn would appear! This mythical creature, often associated with empowerment, brought smiles to 8,000 attendees as they stood under the rainbow next to the Mirai. Toyota also sponsored the Family Pride Zone and provided a misting tent to keep attendees cool under the hot Texas sun. And a Toyota Tacoma pulled members of the Dallas City Council on a float in Sunday’s parade.
