The idea was simple: create an opportunity within each Toyota Financial Services office for a team member – or a few – to become an advocate and liaison for social impact. What came out of that idea though was a differential invest program that enables this group of influential leaders to represent TFS in the community, build relationships with community stakeholders, and provide team members a chance to give back to their community.
As a Community Ambassador, team members have the opportunity to build important core skills and competencies such as communication, relationship building, project management, and leadership. For many team members, the skills they have learned as an Ambassador translate directly back to their roles at TFS, and have contributed directly to 17 promotions! More than 125 team members have served Community Ambassadors, leading a variety of community programs like Making Holidays Easier and TFS Thanks Teachers, and supporting key national partnerships with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Girl Scouts of the USA to help serve thousands of youth.
