Toyota Dream Car Art Contest Starts Today!

Dream Car Icons #1-FY14 last year's winners (512px square)Toyota Financial Services (TFS) proudly announces the launch of the U.S. segment of the worldwide Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. Designed to inspire creativity in youth and encourage an interest in the automotive industry, the contest is open to youth, ages 4-15, who are invited to create and submit a drawing of their idea of a “Dream Car” during Tuesday, October 1 through Saturday, December 14, 2013. In the spring of 2014, nine U.S. winners will be selected to receive an iPad Mini plus an award certificate. Once awarded and accepted, their artwork will be submitted, along with entries from over 70 countries, for consideration in the World Contest. The selected winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Japan to participate in an awards ceremony in August 2014.

All Toyota divisions and affiliates are encouraging young people across the country to participate. “We always look for ways to inspire innovation and to enrich the lives of youth,” said Mike Groff, incoming President & CEO of Toyota Financial Services. “Art is an integral part of many of our youth-oriented service programs. Often, when volunteering or mentoring, our associates engage with the kids through art projects as a way to help establish a rapport and build friendships.”

    I am a site supervisor with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego. I run the Linda Vista Teen Center in San Diego. Attending the D2D training in Phoenix! Great program,can’t wait to implement D2D in my program .

      It starts on Monday, September 22, 2014 and artwork submissions are accepted through Saturday, December 13, 2014.
