What’s better than partnering with a great organization like Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA) and building the “Driving My Financial Future” program? Seeing the limited edition Toyota Financial Services (TFS) patch on the back of a Girl Scout selling cookies at the 88th Academy Awards show!
During the Academy Awards program, Chris Rock invited local Girl Scouts to sell cookies to the audience since he was missing the cookie season with his daughter’s due to his obligation to host the Oscars. And that’s when TFS became Oscar famous, at least for those of us that can spot the TFS patch!
“It was extremely exciting to see the patch at the Oscars”, said Sue Valascho, Community Relations Senior Administrator at TFS. “The program reached over 13,000 scouts in the first year but I never dreamed that I would see the patch on national television. The best part is knowing that girls are learning to be financially capable!”
