After Hurricane Maria brought immense devastation to the island of Puerto, local team members extended a helping hand to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico.
On November 9, Toyota team members delivered two truck loads of supplies, including food, water, and hygiene products to the Las Margaritas Community Center. The team also helped package and distribute supplies to local residents, in line with BGCPR’s temporary mission in the aftermath of the storm: use area Clubs to distribute needed supplies around Puerto Rico. Normal operations are set to resume in December, including conducting their local Youth of the Year events, of which Toyota Financial Services will sponsor.
As the Club recovers, TFS will also help power the Las Margaritas facility by providing propane for the generators. “We look forward to strengthening our parternship as we move forward together after Maria,” said Brett Beals, General Manager, Toyota Credit de Puerto Rico.
