Toyota Financial Services (TFS) proudly announces the launch of the U.S. segment of the worldwide Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. Designed to inspire creativity in youth and encourage an interest in the automotive industry, the contest is open to youth, ages 4-15, who are invited to create and submit a drawing of their idea of a “Dream Car” during Monday, September 22 through Saturday, December 13, 2014. Full contest details, along with the official entry form, can be accessed online by clicking HERE. Check out artwork by last year’s U.S. winners HERE!
In the spring of 2015, nine U.S. winners will be selected to receive an iPad plus an award certificate. Once awarded and accepted, their artwork will be submitted, along with entries from over 80 countries, for consideration in the World Contest. The selected winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Japan to participate in an awards ceremony in August 2015. Last year, two youth who entered the National Contest run by TFS were among the 90 World Finalists: Lauren Park, who went on to become one of 30 World Winners; and Sarah Kong.
“Every year, it’s exciting to see how the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest inspires youth from around the world to design their vision for the future of transportation, and it’s inspiring to see so many also consider how technology can help address larger societal issues facing their generation,” said Mike Groff, President & CEO of Toyota Financial Services.
