On May 20, 2014, the Western CSC hosted a Black & White Hollywood party to celebrate this year’s graduates of the d2D program.  Attending students from the Boys & Girls Club of Guadalupe were greeted by the “paparazzi” as they arrived on the scene and made their way down the red carpet in their black and white evening attire.  Once inside, a sit-down meal fit for any Hollywood “A-lister” was served by an enthusiastic wait staff that consisted of d2D mentors.  An award ceremony followed, during which students were recognized in categories such as “Best Club Spirit” and “Best Attendance.” The evening was topped off by a sparkling cider toast, given by a typically quiet and shy student from the program, whose appreciation inspired a big “thank you” to TFS and everyone involved with d2D.

Providing a little taste of Hollywood, this fun and exciting event was a big hit with both the Club members and their d2D mentors. Students had a wonderful time mingling with their peers and hosts, capturing memories in the photo booth, and enjoying the TFS swag bags given to each attendee. It was a truly special way to celebrate the accomplishments of the bright and promising young minds of the d2D program.
