Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Customer Service Center in Chandler, Arizona hosted their annual Dress for Success and Making Life Easier Scholarship celebration on Friday, June 3. Three of the five local scholarship winners partnered with TFS team members to shop for professional attire to help prepare them for their journey into higher education. Yessenia Allvireall, a scholarship winner and recent graduate of North High School stated, “I have never had a suit jacket, but I love the idea of getting one” as she picked out two dresses and heels to round out her shopping experience.
Once shopping was complete, scholars, their guests, members of TFS’ community group, Team IMPACT, and community partners joined Chris Brenner, Corporate Manager for TFS Service Center, at Fleming’s steak house to continue the celebration. Brenner spoke to the students about how impressed he was with their dedication to education. He reminded them of how proud TFS, their parents, mentors, and community partners were of their accomplishments. As the festivities continued, scholars received backpacks full of necessary tools to help them further their academic success including an iPad Mini 2, a TFS Making Life Easier blanket, a laundry kit, a first aid kit, a squid power bank, 8 GB USB pen, and everyone’s favorite, the Making life Easier water bottle for those hot Arizona days – it happened to be 116 degrees on the day of the celebration!
“You know it is a good night when you get a chance to see and hear from students who are so excited about their education” said Jeannie Bailey, Community Relations Senior Administrator. “I feel so blessed to work for an organization that makes dreams come true.”
