Toyota Financial Services (TFS) demonstrated its commitment to the environment during a recent clean-up event at Alamitos Beach. Eighty TFS volunteers spent the afternoon of September 5, 2013 collecting trash and marine debris along the shoreline. The activity was part of a TFS team-building event organized through the Long Beach Adopt-A-Beach program.

“We wanted to incorporate a positive activity into our department teambuilding event,” said Michele Cybula, TFS Business Systems Analyst. “Since beach pollution is harmful to humans, animals, and the environment, this was an opportunity for us to make a small difference in the community.”

Long Beach Adopt-A-Beach is a conservation program designed to motivate people of all ages to become directly involved in protecting their coastline. The organization works to increase public awareness about marine debris and inspire both personal responsibility and community action.
